Andre Lancaster

Andre Lancaster is the founder and artistic director of Freedom Train, a company dedicated to developing new work from emerging and established black queer playwrights. There he produced the work of Sharon Bridgforth (delta dandi), Jerome A. Parker (Origins of Us), Harrison David Rivers (When Last We Flew), Nick Mwaluko (S/HE), and Ayanna Maia (Woman to Woman). His directing credits have appeared in New York at HERE Arts Center, WOW Cafe Theater, NYC AIDS Housing Coalition, and The LGBT Center as well as internationally at Winnipeg Fringe Festival in Canada. Andre is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, and he completed a literary management internship at The Public Theater in 2011.

In 2006 his stage direction of Andrea E. Davis's A Love Like Damiens's at WOW Cafe Theatre received an extended run at HERE.

He is a NYU Wagner Social Justice Fellow and studied Playwriting at the University of Texas at Austin. Andre is also a proud Texan living in Brooklyn and vinyl DJ and promoter for Restless Produxns (NYC).

Christopher Burris is a stage director, actor, singer, and writer. He has directed productions throughout the country, including: Love's Fire, Hilly Hicks Jr.'s The Home Life of Polar Bears, and George C. Wolfe's The Colored Museum at the Old Playmakers Theater in North Carolina. He is currently a member of the First Look Theatre's directing company at NYU's Tisch School, where he has worked with some of the most exciting new playwrights in the theater world.
